Fideuá recipe for children


The fideuá, is a typical dish of the Valencian Community (Spain) and that has a great similarity with the paella. One of the big differences between both dishes is that fideuá is made with thick noodles, and therefore the cooking time is much shorter.

It is an exquisite and very healthy dish for children. In addition to its delicious flavor, it is a nutritious recipe for children since it is made with fish and shellfish and vegetables can also be included to taste.

  • 400 grams of thick noodles
  • 150 grams of prawns
  • 150 grams of chirlas
  • 200 grams of monkfish
  • A cuttlefish
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 ripe tomatoes
  • Sweet paprika, saffron and salt
  • Olive oil
  • Fish soup

1. Put a tablespoon or two of oil in a paella pan and fry garlic and onion.

2. Add the tomato and when they are almost ready put the monkfish in pieces or another white meat fish and the cuttlefish.

3. To this sauce, add the prawns or prawns.

4. Cover the paella pan with fish stock and add the sweet paprika, saffron and salt.

5. When it comes to a boil, add the noodles and chirlas. Let the mixture cook for 10-15 minutes.

Let the fideuá rest for at least 10 minutes before serving.
